Do you have enough?
If you're like me (or most of us!), you have often thought something like this: "Life would be a lot easier if I just had ____________."
How we fill in that blank can reveal a lot about us. Perhaps legitimate needs do press. But, often we may just think we need this or that in order to feel better, enjoy life more, or even serve God better.
Yes, leaders can fall into a trap of believing more ______________ can make us more godly or more successful. So the quesiton again for today: do you have enough?
Once more: Do you have enough?
I heard recently that God has given you what you need to accomplish what He has for you. I'm thrown back in my understanding of the Bible to Gideon, a character with a lot of questions.
God actually had him pare down his army to make sure he had the trust God gave him what he needed.
I need to get comfortable believing God has given me everything I need as a husband, a father, a leader. Not that I won't or shouldn't grow, but that I shouldn't attach size, stature, position, or recognition to His ability to use me.
Do I have enough? I need to believe more and more that I do.
A challenge to think through today:
Do you have enough?
