Goss Memorial Reformed Church was founded in 1904 by Rev. E. R. Williard, Rev. Ewing, and Dr. Goss who paid $600.00 for the original church building. On August 19, 1928 the cornerstone of the current church building was laid after the congregation had outgrown the old building. The building was dedicated during the week of April 14-21, 1929. Rev. William E. Troup was called during the summer of 1929 who served for 29 years. In 1958 the church withdrew from the Reformed denomination after hearing of the proposed union of the Evangelical and Reformed Churches. The name was then shortened to Goss Memorial Church and it became an independent church. In May, 1958 Rev. William C. Bennett came as Pastor and served 12 ½ years. In 1976 Rev. Lee Belleman became Pastor after serving as Christian Ed Director for many years. Ground breaking for the new wing also began that year. On July 1, 1996, Rev. Bud Couts gave his first message as pastor and was installed on September 8, 1996.
